Ready, Set and Go….in July, with summer camps!

Between the 14th and 31st of July, within the project co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation to strengthen the social and educational services for minors in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, seventy-five children from Mar Elias, Burj el Barajneh and Rashidieh participated to the three summer camps organized by CTM at the ULYP campus in Debbjieh ,17 kilometers south of Beirut.

The children, divided into three groups and under the guidance of two Italian Union Sport for All – UISP experts and the supervision of Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation – GKCF teachers spent four days away from their home, having fun, learning and sharing unforgettable moments of personal growth and group dynamics.

The days had an intensive, playful and educational program: there have been dips in the pool, ran after a ball, swimming football and basketball lessons, cross-cultural exchanges, juggling exercises, workshops and theatrical sketches. The kids enjoyed while learned how to be together … the tear before the departure was itself part of the game! But we’ll meet up next summer….
