The Lebanese delegation led by the Mayor of Tyre, Hassan Dbouk, concluded its mission in Tricase where it had the opportunity to learn about the virtuous experiences in environmental monitoring and marine and coastal planning.

Thanks to the welcome arranged by the Municipality of Tricase and the Magna Grecia Mare association, the guests took part in a program of meetings and visits to the main reference structures of the Salento partners involved in the projectBlue Tyre: the Department of Biological Sciences and Technologies and Environmental of the University of Salento and the Museum of Natural History of Salento which houses an important Sea Turtle Recovery Center.

Both Mayors expressed mutual esteem and gratitude for a planning process that allows the Lebanese coastal community to mitigate the consequences of climate change and the harsh financial crisis gripping the Country of cedars.
