The young marine biologists of the University of Salento periodically carry out missions in Tyre thanks to the Blue Tyre project. The Scuba Diving sessions for sampling the species alternated with training, events and institutional meetings with the beneficiaries and local partners, without forgetting the participation in the celebrations for the Italian Republic Day. With our intervention we also supported the Municipality in the installation of safety buoys which limit access to boats and reduce the dangers associated with navigation along the coast and in protected areas.

The link between Tyre and Tricase becomes stronger and stronger thanks to the involvement of young and passionate professionals able to transmit methodologies and tools for marine and coastal environmental monitoring and protection.
