On 29 March 2019, at the Theater of the Mosan Center for Special Needs in Tyre, the closing ceremony of the project “Promotion of children’s rights and new opportunities for informal education in southern Lebanon” – AID 10585/CTM/LBN was held.

During the event all the activities and results achieved by the project were presented thanks to the fruitful collaboration with all the partners. At the institutional level, the following participated: the Mayor of Tyre Hassan Dbouk, the Embassy of Italy, represented by the counselor Roberta Di Lecce, the representatives of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the highest military officers of the Italian contingent of the UNIFIL mission.

During the ceremony, the children of the educational centers of the Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation and of the Mosan Center for Special Needs performed short music and dance shows, and presented the exhibition of the photographs they made during the project activities.

Afterwards all the guests went for a walk in the Tyre public park, in the area entirely dedicated to games and sports and realized by CTM thanks to the close collaboration with the Municipality.

It was an intense and satisfying experience made in three years of work in schools, in centers for disabled people, in agricultural cooperatives and in the public spaces of Southern Lebanon.

The project was funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by CTM in collaboration with the Municipality of Tire, the Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation, Les Amis Des Marionettes, the Mosan Center for Special Needs and the UISP (Italian Union Sport for All).
